Jacquie Lawrence is a former Channel 4 Commissioner – known as the Filth Peddler because of her output - including Lesbians go Mad on Lesbos, Lesbian Behaving Badly and Lesbians Ole.  She won a BAFTA for commissioning ROSS KEMP ON GANGS for Sky One, which did not have any lesbians in it!

 

She is Creative Director of DIVA BOX OFFICE, a channel dedicated to programming for and about lesbians, bisexuals and allies.


SAME BUT DIFFERENT is her second novel and sequel to DIFFERENT FOR GIRLS, which was shortlisted for a Polari Prize and DIVA Literary Award. As a co-director of JACKDAW MEDIA, along with Fizz Milton, she adapted and produced DIFFERENT FOR GIRLS as a drama series. A critical success, it has won a multitude of awards and has been seen in nearly 60 countries.


She is now working on a new novel, comedy drama series and feature film script.
